Privatization has become an important practice area of the firm in
the recent years. From the early start, HASSOUNA & ABOU ALI has
played an active role in the Egyptian privatization program. We acted,
and continue to act, through USAID and European Union-funded programs,
as counsel to the Public Enterprise Office both on general policy issues
and specific projects. We have represented investors and the public
sector companies in some of the most highly-publicized transactions in
the privatization process.
